Obverse description Armored and laureate bust of Frederick I facing right, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair, laurel wreath, and cuirass. The legend is arranged in two segments around the periphery, reading FRID•D•G•REX to the left and BORVSS•EL•BR• to the right. A small mintmaster initial 'L' appears in the lower field beneath the truncation. The portrait displays the characteristic baroque effigy style of early eighteenth-century Prussian coinage.
