| Obverse description | Draped bust of Frederick William, Elector of Brandenburg, facing right, with long flowing curly hair in the Baroque fashion. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and drapery at the truncation. The date 1679 and mintmaster initials LCS appear in the lower field, flanking the bust. A beaded inner circle separates the portrait from the surrounding Latin legend. The milled edge is visible at the rim. |
