Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of King Frederick I of Sweden, wearing a voluminous curled periwig rendered in fine detail and armour with elaborate shoulder decoration. The royal cipher, consisting of three crowns arranged in a triangular pattern, is visible on the chest armour. The circumferential Latin legend reads FRIDERICVS•D•G•REX•SVECIAE•, interrupted by the portrait, set within a toothed border.
