| Reverse description | The quartered oval coat of arms of the Archbishopric of Mainz, displaying the arms of Mainz (argent a wheel gules), the personal arms of the Erthal family, and other heraldic quarterings, surmounted by a princely electoral crown. The shield is encircled by a wreath composed of an olive branch to the left and an antler or branch to the right, their stems crossing below. The date 1795 is divided by the wreath stems at the base of the design, with the mint inspector's initials I·A· (Joseph Aatz) below in the exergue. The field is plain and unlettered. |
