Obverse description Central field depicts a fully armoured knight on horseback in dynamic right-facing gallop, bearing a lance and a heraldic shield quartered with the arms of Liechtenstein. The horse and rider are rendered in high relief with elaborate decorative scrollwork and foliage in the lower field. The mintmaster initials and fineness mark 'MMS 986' appear in the exergue. A beaded inner border separates the central device from the surrounding Latin legend, which reads LIECHTENSTEIN DVCATVS HIST · DVC · DE, distributed around the full circumference.
