Obverse description Full-length facing effigy of Emperor Ferdinand II in elaborate plate armour, crowned, holding an upright sceptre in his right hand and a globus cruciger in his left, standing within a plain inner circle. A sword hilt is visible at his left side, and decorative tassets and armour detail are rendered in fine relief. The surrounding Latin legend runs along the outer border, separated from the inner circle by a beaded or milled ring.
