Obverse description Central device depicts the Crucified Christ upon the cross, with his feet resting upon a scale suspended from a prominent letter F. Below the cross, an ornate quartered shield bearing the coat of arms of Wrocław occupies the lower field: the quarters display the Bohemian lion, two Silesian eagles, the letter W for the city, and the bust of Saint John the Evangelist, with the head of Saint John the Baptist appearing at the center of the shield. The date 1630 is divided by the shield on either side. The entire composition is encircled by a Latin legend within a beaded inner circle.
