Obverse description Central quartered coat of arms of the Bishopric of Würzburg, incorporating the raking diagonal bars of Franconia and the episcopal sword, displayed within an elaborately mantled baroque escutcheon. The shield is surmounted by three ornate plumed helmets with decorative crests and scrollwork supporters on either side. The circular legend reads CHRISTOPH FRAN D G EL EP HERB S R I PR FR OR DVX, separated by dots and running between an inner beaded circle and the milled outer border.
