Obverse description A stag standing to the left, positioned before a tall ornate column rising from a stepped pedestal, occupying the central field. The stag is rendered in fine relief with prominent antlers spreading above the column capital, serving as the heraldic emblem of the County of Stolberg. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the circular Latin legend running along the periphery of the coin. The composition is bold and naturalistic, characteristic of early eighteenth-century German gold coinage.
