Obverse description Equestrian portrait of King Christian V in full armour, depicted as an heroic commander astride a rearing horse facing left, the king holding a baton or sceptre aloft in his right hand. The horse is shown in a levade pose with forelegs raised, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the mane, tail and harness. A small foliate or decorative element appears in the lower field beneath the horse. The design fills nearly the entire flan, enclosed by a fine beaded border.

Reverse description Elaborate interlaced triple royal cypher of Christian V, composed of three interwoven crowned letter C's forming a complex symmetrical monogram that occupies the central field. The monogram is surmounted by a single royal crown at the top. The date 1692 appears in the lower portion of the central device, with the mintmaster's initials C and W placed on either side within the monogram. The circumferential Latin legend PIETATE ET IVSTITIA runs around the periphery, separated by small ornamental stops, all within a beaded border.
