| Reverse description | Crowned Hohenzollern eagle displayed with wings spread, surmounting an ornate Baroque cartouche-style shield decorated with rocaille scrollwork and flanked by elaborate foliage and laurel branches. The eagle is depicted facing left with wings outstretched and a crown above its head, rendered in fine relief characteristic of German Baroque coin engraving. The shield rests upon a decorative plinth or base, below which the date 1753 appears in the exergue in Roman-style numerals. The circular legend SUPREMUM DUCIS MUNUS SALUS PUBLICA — meaning 'The highest duty of a prince is the public welfare' — encircles the design, referencing the margrave's governing philosophy. |
