Obverse description Draped bust of Cardinal Charles the Posthumous facing right, wearing ecclesiastical vestments with a richly decorated cope visible at the truncation. The effigy is bearded and depicted in a bold, high-relief style characteristic of early 17th-century German hammered coinage. A circular beaded inner border frames the portrait. The legend surrounding the bust reads CARD·GAVL·EV·CO·IR in Latin capitals.
