| Obverse description | Full-length frontal effigy of Archduke Karl II (Charles II) standing in the field, depicted in elaborate full plate armour with a ruffled collar visible at the neck. The figure stands with arms akimbo, hands resting at the hips, with a sword at the left side. A royal crown surmounts the head. The Latin legend is divided and reads around the periphery within a beaded border, with the archdducal title distributed on both sides of the effigy. A small six-pointed star ornament appears at the base of the design. |
