| Obverse description | The city arms of Ravensburg, depicting a fortified castle with three towers on a cartouche adorned with baroque scrollwork, occupies the central field. The city name RAVENSPVRG appears in an arc above the shield. The date 17-17 is divided to either side of the cartouche in the lower field. A circular Latin legend runs along the outer border, separated by a beaded inner ring, commemorating the bicentenary of the Lutheran Reformation with the date 31 October noted within the inscription. |
