| Obverse description | Central field displays a quartered heraldic shield surmounted by a mitre, combining the arms of the Bishopric of Breslau with those of the Promnitz family. The upper-left and lower-right quarters bear clusters of flowers or cinquefoils, the upper-right quarter displays a crozier or episcopal staff motif, and the lower-left quarter shows a crescent and star device. The surrounding Latin legend, reading clockwise and incorporating the date, is struck along the coin's rim in a Gothic-influenced character style typical of mid-sixteenth-century Silesian ecclesiastical coinage. |
