| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of Cleopatra rendered in an Egyptianizing stylistic tradition, wearing a striped nemes headdress surmounted by a vulture crown with wings spread across the brow. A uraeus serpent coils at the forehead, and a large circular earring is visible at the ear. The engraver's initials appear incuse at the lower right of the portrait field. The legend AEGYPTUS curves along the lower rim, while the date 1963 is inscribed in two lines to the right of the headdress. |

| Reverse description | Central device consisting of a six-pointed decorative cross with broad, tapering arms, each pair of angles between the arms filled with a stylized lily blossom on a curved stem, creating a richly ornamental composition. At the centre of the cross, within a raised circular boss, the denomination I DUCAT is inscribed in two lines. The fineness mark 980 appears in the lower exergual area beneath the cross. A circular legend divided into two arcs reads PRO PROSPERITATE MUNDI along the upper portion and AUREUS MAGNUS along the lower portion, separated by small ornamental rosette stops. |
