| Obverse description | A crowned obelisk mounted on a stepped pedestal occupies the central field, flanked on either side by oval armorial shields set within elaborate baroque cartouche frames. A curved inscription band arches below the central device, bearing the German and abbreviated Latin legend. The overall composition reflects the High Baroque ceremonial style prevalent in southern German civic coinage of the early eighteenth century. |

| Reverse description | A panoramic view of a hilltop castle or fortified residence dominates the central field, rendered in fine engraved detail characteristic of German commemorative ducats of the period. Above the castle, radiate rays streaming downward from the 'Eye of God' set within a glory, a widely used Protestant devotional motif. Below the architectural view, the date is enclosed within an ornamental cartouche. The encircling legend, drawn from Luther's famous hymn, reinforces the coin's commemoration of the bicentenary of the Augsburg Confession. |
