Obverse description The central field displays a large, elaborate cursive royal cipher of Duke Anthony Ulrich, formed by intertwined letters rendered in an ornate Baroque calligraphic style. The monogram occupies most of the flan and is surmounted by an electoral bonnet (ducal crown) with a broad brim and floral finial, lending the design a distinctly regal character. The field is otherwise plain, with no surrounding legend, allowing the monogram to command full visual prominence.
