| Obverse description | A fully armored standing knight occupies the central field, depicted in three-quarter view facing right, with the date divided to either side of the figure. The knight brandishes an upright sword in his right hand and grasps a bundle of seven arrows — symbolizing the seven United Provinces — in his left. The figure stands on a ground line in a dynamic, martial posture consistent with Dutch Republic coinage of the late seventeenth century. The encircling Latin legend reads CONCORDIA · RES PAR CRES· HOL· 1673, invoking the provincial motto of Holland. |
