Obverse description Central shield bearing the city keys of Bremen, surmounted by a royal crown, supported on either side by rampant lions facing inward. The mintmaster's initials G·C·R appear in the exergue below the shield. The circular legend reads DUCAT NOV AUR REIPUBL BREMENSIS with the date 1710, distributed around the inner field. The milled edge frames the composition, which is rendered in a bold baroque style characteristic of early eighteenth-century German civic coinage.
