Obverse description Within a wreath of laurel branches, the crowned arms of Bremen depicting two crossed keys on a shield, with the date 1672 divided on either side of the shield in the field. The mintmaster's initial H appears in the exergue below. The circular legend reads REIP BREMENS DUCAT NOV AURE, distributed around the wreath.

Reverse description Laureate and draped bust of Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I facing left, rendered in high relief with flowing hair and armored shoulder visible. The surrounding circular legend, reading from the top, is divided by the portrait: LEOP D G ROM IMP SEMP AUG, identifying the emperor as Leopold, by the Grace of God, Roman Emperor, forever August.
