Reverse description A crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed at centre, with spread wings and a shield on its breast bearing the Habsburg arms, all within a beaded inner circle. The eagle's two heads face outward and upward beneath a single imperial crown. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads LEOPOLDUS D G ROM IMP S A, identifying the Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I as the imperial overlord under whose authority the coin was struck. The fine detail of the eagle's plumage and the orb-and-sceptre regalia reflect the high standard of minting characteristic of late seventeenth-century German ducats.
