Obverse description Eight-fold quartered coat of arms occupying the central field, incorporating the heraldic devices of the joint-ruling counts of Stolberg. The initials S.K.W. appear above the shield in the upper field. The arms display multiple quarterings including stag, lion, chevrons, and checky elements, rendered in the German Renaissance style typical of mid-16th century hammered coinage.

Reverse description An elaborate ornamental helmet with flowing mantling and crest occupies the central field, dividing the two-digit date in the lower portion of the field. The helmet is richly decorated in the Renaissance style, with volute scrollwork and foliate mantling extending to either side, surmounted by a crested finial. The date numerals are positioned to the left and right of the helmet's base.
