| Obverse description | Central field displays a crowned Schwarzburg coat of arms, consisting of a quartered shield surmounted by a large crown with ornamental finials. Flanking the shield are elaborate foliate and scroll ornaments typical of mid-16th century German heraldic coinage. The design is executed in relief against a flat, unadorned field characteristic of hammered small silver. No peripheral legend is present on this face. |
