Obverse description Displayed eagle with spread wings set within an ornate squared cartouche or shield frame, rendered in the early Baroque style typical of Brandenburg coinage. The eagle bears a central escutcheon on its breast. Mintmaster's initials 'L' and 'M' appear flanking the shield in the left and right fields respectively. The overall design fills the flan with bold, deeply struck relief.

Reverse description Crowned orb bearing the numeral '3' within an ornate scrollwork cartouche, denoting the coin's value of three Pfennige. The date 1624 is divided by the cartouche frame, with '16' to the left and '24' to the right, a convention common to early seventeenth-century Brandenburg small coinage. The crown above the orb is rendered in high relief with decorative beading.
