Obverse description Central shield bearing the arms of Erfurt — a six-spoked wheel — surmounted by a crested helmet with elaborate scrolling mantling extending into the field on both sides. The overall composition is rendered in the German Renaissance heraldic style typical of hammered municipal coinage of the sixteenth century.

Reverse description Central shield bearing the arms of Capellendorf, surmounted by a crested helmet with scrolling mantling extending into the field; the date, rendered in abbreviated form with only the last two digits, is divided by the helmet crest above the shield. The design follows the conventional paired-heraldic layout characteristic of Erfurt municipal issues of this period.
