Reverse description Central field again presents the Royal Coat of Arms of Greece, identical in design to the obverse, with the quartered shield displaying the Greek cross, surmounted by a royal crown and flanked by draped ermine mantling with tasselled cords. A scroll beneath carries a Greek motto. The circumferential legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ runs along the upper periphery, and the denomination 1 ΔΡΑΧΜΗ is inscribed along the lower periphery, all enclosed within a beaded border. This uniface pattern design, repeating the same type on both sides, is characteristic of trial strikings prepared for governmental approval.
