| Obverse description | Crowned bust of a Sasanian-style ruler facing right, derived from the coinage of Peroz I, rendered in a debased local imitative style. Three countermarks appear in the field: a Sogdian legend reading 'twh`rik' (Tokharistan), a heart-shaped tamgha, and a small secondary bust facing right. The portrait retains vestiges of the characteristic Sasanian winged crown, though executed with the simplified, schematic engraving typical of post-Sasanian Central Asian imitations. The entire design is set within a border of pellets or beaded rim. |

| Reverse description | Fire altar flanked by two attendants standing in profile facing the altar, a composition closely following the standard Sasanian drachm reverse type. The altar is depicted in schematic form, with the sacred flame rendered above the altar plinth. The attendant figures, likely representing Zoroastrian priests, are shown in a simplified, provincial style characteristic of post-Sasanian Central Asian imitative coinage. The overall design, though derived from Peroz-era prototypes, displays the characteristic flattening and degeneration of detail typical of Tokharistan local issues. |
