| Reverse description | Central fire altar flanked by two attendant figures standing in adoration, rendered in the Sasanian manner. The altar is depicted with a stepped base and rising flame, characteristic of Zoroastrian iconography adopted by the Bukhar Khudat rulers. The two flanking figures are shown in profile facing the altar, each wearing elaborate court dress. The reverse field retains the broad flan typical of late Sasanian-derived coinage of Transoxiana. The design is struck on an irregular planchet with softness in areas due to the hammered technique. |
