| Obverse description | Bust of the ruler facing right, depicted in the Sasanian tradition and wearing a distinctive Nezak-style winged crown surmounted by a bull's head finial, enclosed within a beaded border. Degenerate Pahlavi legends appear in the left and right fields, partially legible and heavily stylized due to the provincial die-cutting tradition. Tamgha symbols are placed within the marginal crescent ornaments flanking the portrait, serving as dynastic identifiers of the Tokhara Yabghus. The overall design is a local imitation of late Sasanian royal portraiture, rendered with characteristic Central Asian artistic conventions. |

| Reverse description | Standard Sasanian-type fire-altar reverse depicting a stepped altar with a flaming crest at center, flanked by two standing attendants facing inward in the customary Zoroastrian ceremonial posture. The composition closely follows the canonical late Sasanian drachm reverse type, though the execution is provincial and somewhat schematic. Marginal legends, if present, are heavily degenerate and largely illegible. The overall design served as a religious and political symbol of continuity with Sasanian imperial iconography in the post-conquest Tokharistan region. |
