| Obverse description | Draped bust of the ruler facing right, with a circled dot device above the head. A Pahlavi legend appears behind the effigy and a Sogdian legend runs in front, both encircling the bust within the coin's field. A triskeles countermark is applied in the field, characteristic of the 'Mug' type coinage. The overall style reflects the Sasanian-derived artistic tradition adapted by the Bukhar Khudat rulers of Sogdia. |
