Obverse description The arms of Guernsey occupy the central field, depicting a shield charged with three golden leopards passant guardant arranged in pale on a red field, rendered in relief against a vertically lined background. A sprig of foliage surmounts the shield as a crest. The coin's border features a continuous raised beaded ring. The curved legend GUERNESEY appears in raised serif capitals along the lower portion of the coin, below the shield.
