Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Francesco Filiberto Ferrero-Fieschi facing left, wearing a ruffled collar and armored pauldron, with curly hair rendered in fine detail. The effigy is depicted in a naturalistic late Renaissance style, with the truncation showing plate armor at the shoulder. The encircling legend reads FRAN FIL FER FLI MAR MES, an abbreviation of the ruler's titles, separated by pellet stops and running along the inner border of the coin.
