| Reverse description | A large floriated cross with elaborate foliate terminals occupies the centre of the field, dividing the date 16-66 in the upper two quarters. Two small heraldic shields appear at the lower left and lower right, flanking the base of the cross. The mint mark B·P appears in the exergue below. The circular legend BONONIA DOCET runs along the upper periphery within a beaded border, referencing the ancient motto of the University of Bologna. |
