Additional information

Fiji's lunar series coinage is produced under licensing arrangements common to many Pacific island mints, where the issuing authority lends its name to issues designed, struck, and distributed almost entirely by third-party minting houses — in this case almost certainly the Perth Mint or a comparable contractor. The coins rarely if ever circulate in Fiji itself.

The 2014 Horse corresponds to the year beginning January 31st of that year in the Chinese lunisolar calendar, the first Horse year since 2002.
