Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a large bold roman numeral 'X' rendered in ornate guilloche work at center, flanked by green lathe-work panels — a design that earned this issue its popular 'saw-horse' nickname. The denomination is spelled out in full across the note with repeated numeral and word inscriptions set against an intricate green underprint. This was the final note issued in this series design type.
