Barbados retired the Bridgetown Harbour trident dollar from circulation in 2018 when the country transitioned away from the Eastern Caribbean Dollar peg structure for collector coinage, making the bullion series one of the few sovereign-backed silver programs issued directly under Central Bank authority rather than through a third-party mint licensing arrangement. The series is struck at the Royal Canadian Mint under contract.
KM#102 spans a wider date range than most annual bullion issues precisely because the design was locked and mintage targets kept the dies in rotation across multiple years without alteration.
