| Obverse description | The coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia occupies the central field, depicting a three-masted sailing ship approaching shore, a palm tree, a rising sun, and a plow within a quartered shield surmounted by a scroll bearing the national motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE'.
