Obverse description The obverse is struck in the outline shape of a teddy bear and features the national arms of Palau centrally placed in the field, consisting of a traditional scene within a circular shield flanked by decorative supporters. The circular legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper border, following the contour of the bear-shaped flan, interspersed with small five-pointed stars. The denomination 1$ appears in the lower portion of the field beneath the arms.

Reverse description The reverse presents a stylized frontal depiction of a seated teddy bear in low relief, conforming precisely to the bear-shaped flan. The bear's rounded ears, face with circular eyes and muzzle, paws, and feet are rendered in simplified, charming outline style. A large plain recessed circular area occupies the center of the bear's body, creating a contrasting field element. The overall design is deliberately minimalist and whimsical, befitting the collectible novelty nature of the issue.
