Obverse description The obverse features the Coat of Arms of Fiji rendered in fine relief at the center of the field, flanked by two traditional Fijian warriors serving as supporters: the dexter supporter holds an upright spear, while the sinister supporter holds a bunch of sugarcane. The shield is surmounted by a British sailing vessel and is quartered with motifs including a British lion, coconut palms, and a dove. A scroll beneath the supporters bears the national motto in the Fijian language. The legend 'FIJI • 2013' arcs along the upper periphery, and the denomination 'ONE DOLLAR' is inscribed in large letters along the lower periphery.
