| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black with a red-orange ONE/1 underprint. At upper left, a circular vignette bears a seated allegorical group with the legend of the State of Florida. At center top, an intaglio agricultural scene shows enslaved field workers harvesting cotton, with a standing overseer figure in the foreground. At lower left, a vignette of a cherub or young child appears in a soft engraved style. To the right, three stacked octagonal guilloche medallions bear the denomination ONE / 1 / ONE in bold.
