Obverse description At the left end, a vignette of two cherubs holding grapes. In the centre, the Arms of Michigan are rendered in intaglio, with a moose and an elk as supporters flanking a shield surmounted by a perched eagle. Denomination numeral '1' appears in large format at both the left and right ends, with the obligation text and bank title occupying the upper portion of the note.
