| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Palau rendered within a shield-shaped cartouche at centre, depicting a traditional Palauan figure holding a trident alongside a seated female figure, a sea turtle, and a full moon above, all framed by a decorative border. A traditional outrigger canoe in full sail appears above the shield in the upper field. The circular legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, flanked on each side by a row of five-pointed stars.
