| Obverse description | The obverse displays the Barbadian coat of arms centrally positioned in the field, comprising a shield adorned with national emblems and flanked by a dolphin on the dexter side, representing the fishing industry, and a brown pelican on the sinister side, recalling the historic Pelican Island. The shield is surmounted by a closed helmet with mantling, above which a crest depicts an arm and hand holding two crossed sugarcane stalks, symbolizing the island's sugar heritage. Two Pride of Barbados flowers and a Bearded Fig tree accompany the armorial composition. The motto legend PRIDE AND INDUSTRY appears on a scroll at the base of the arms.
