| Obverse description | The central field displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau, comprising a shield bearing a sea deity holding a trident alongside a mermaid, surmounted by a traditional outrigger canoe and flanked by stylised floral and coral ornaments. Eight five-pointed stars are arranged around the arms. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, while the series inscription RAINBOW'S END appears within the lower portion of the shield. The denomination 1$ is inscribed in the exergue beneath the armorial device. |
