| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau centrally positioned in the field, depicting a traditional Palauan scene with a sea deity holding a trident accompanied by a female figure, enclosed within an ornate shield. Above the shield, a native outrigger canoe with a paddler is shown in the upper field. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, flanked on each side by a row of five-pointed stars.
