Obverse description The full Jamaican coat of arms is depicted centrally in the field, featuring a quartered shield bearing five golden pineapples on a black cross, surmounted by a crocodile atop a royal helmet and mantling. Two Taino figures serve as supporters on either side of the shield, a female to the left bearing a basket of fruit and a male to the right holding a bow. A scroll beneath the arms carries the national motto legend OUT OF MANY, ONE PEOPLE. The country name JAMAICA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination ONE DOLLAR and the date appear along the lower legend.
