| Reverse description | The reverse is dominated by a large holographic insert occupying the central field, depicting a nautilus shell in vivid iridescent hues of amber, gold, green, and blue that shift with the viewing angle, conveying the lustrous natural patterning of the cephalopod's shell. The field surrounding the hologram is polished to a mirror finish within a raised inner rim. The legend PACIFIC WILDLIFE arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 2007 inscribed centrally beneath it. |

| Additional information |
Palau began issuing novelty collector dollars under a licensing arrangement in the 1990s, with much of the actual distribution handled by foreign marketing firms rather than the Republic's own treasury. The Nautilus issue is part of that broader program — coins legal tender in Palau but produced primarily for the international collector market, never intended to circulate on the islands.
