Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of Liberty in high relief, her hair elaborately styled in flowing waves and curls, adorned with a coronet inscribed LIBERTY and a decorative cap with wheat and cotton elements. Eight six-pointed stars are arranged along the left rim and seven along the right rim, with the date 1884 prominently displayed in the lower exergue flanked by additional stars. The motto E · PLURIBUS · UNUM arcs across the upper field as the obverse legend. The overall design faithfully reproduces George T. Morgan's celebrated Liberty portrait from the original Morgan Dollar series.
