Reverse description A heraldic eagle displayed at center, wings outstretched and head turned to the left, clutching an olive branch in the dexter talon and a bundle of three arrows in the sinister talon. The eagle is encircled by a wreath of laurel and olive, with a star at each side where the wreath terminates. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST appears in Gothic script above the eagle's head in the upper field. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA arcs around the upper periphery, and the denomination ONE DOLLAR curves along the lower border between two stars.
